At ProFound, we believe in developing not just basketball skills, but also the mental toughness and confidence that young athletes need to succeed both on and off the court. Sport psychology plays a vital role in helping athletes manage pressure, stay focused, and build a growth mindset, and we’re committed to offering our players and their families access to these valuable tools.

How We Coach

Our coaches are trained in sport psychology techniques that are seamlessly woven into every practice session. We utilize positive reinforcement, modeling, and constructive feedback to support our athletes' physical and mental development. Additionally, our staff takes time during each week to teach and emphasize key mental skills such as:

  • Confidence-building to help players believe in their abilities

  • Focus and concentration to improve on-court performance

  • Resilience and mental toughness to bounce back from mistakes

  • Goal-setting to help athletes stay motivated and work towards continuous improvement

  • Visualization and relaxation techniques to handle stress and anxiety in competitive situations

These strategies are not only designed to improve basketball skills, but to support our players in every area of their lives.

Our Partner

Strive.png

We’re excited to partner with Strive, a private practice providing sport psychology services specifically to youth athletes. As part of this collaboration, Strive provides free online training sessions for both players and parents, focusing on mental skills that can be applied both on the court and in everyday life.

Additionally, players in our program can access discounted rates for personalized sport psychology services from Strive’s experienced professionals. These services can help athletes overcome mental barriers, optimize performance, and develop a stronger mindset.
